This year EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK will be held from the 16th to the 22nd of September, 2016 under the banner of 'Smart and sustainable mobility - an investment for Europe', referring to the close ties between transport and economics and encouraging local politicians and the public to look at smart and sustainable mobility as an investment for Europe.

Local authorities across Europe can begin registering their participation in this year's EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK filling in the available registration form here. By registering, each city will be displayed on the updated EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK website and will count towards their country’s total participation figure. Registration information can be updated at any time, so your city can register and provide more information about its activities later.

Over the next days the campaign's national co-ordinators will meet at the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK workshops in Brussels (Belgium) to exchange ideas and information on encouraging cities to participate in the campaign, and on sustainable mobility more generally. A number of different EU-funded mobility projects will additionally be showcased, as well as successful local mobility campaigns from countries such as Portugal and Slovenia.

For more information visit the official website of EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016 or follow it on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube.
