Paris Agreement (COP21)

In December 2015 the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) took place in Paris, where the 195 participating countries agreed on reducing emission in order to limit global warming to well below 2°C. The agreement has opened for signature on 22 April 2016 but will only become binding until 55 countries that produce at least 55% of the greenhouse gases around the world have ratified the agreement.
