With the contribution of the LIFE programme of the European Union - LIFE14 ENV/GR/000611
Important maintenance works of 4,100,000€ budget in Fthiotida road network has been announced by the Regional Governor of Sterea Ellada, Mr Kostas Mpakogiannis, after the contract for the maintenance and the modernization of more than 20 parts of the national and provincial road network of the regional unit.
Mr Mpakogiannis emphasized that in a country that, due to economic crisis, the state is not able to offer to citizens what they deserve, it is an obligation of every regional authority to take care of their daily life quality and security.
This specific project includes the construction of retaining walls, reconstruction of the street surface, excavation and reconstruction of pipes, land sliding handling, installation of safety barriers, signage and all the necessary maintenance works in order to create road safety conditions.
