Commission injects €6.7 billion in transport infrastructure to boost jobs and growth & contribute to digitilisation and decarbonisation of transport

The European Commission and the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) try to bridge the investment gap in Europe through the creation of new jobs and the boost of growth. Towards to this direction a total of 195 transport projects which will notably contribute to the digitalisation and decarbonisation of transport, in line with the broader political agenda of Commission, will receive €6.7 billion of funding in the next period.

The proposed funding decision is expected to be adopted by the Commission by the end of July 2016 and the projects’ grant agreements are expected to be signed in the second half of 2016.
